Islamic Center of Savannah will pray EID SALAH at 8:30am on Wednesday, June 5, 2019. The crescent moon to commence the month of Shawwal 1440 AH was looked for after the sunset of Monday, June 3, 2019. Reports, unanimously confirmed that the moon was NOT SIGHTED. These reports have confirmed that the month of Ramadan1440 AH will complete its 30 days, thus making Wednesday, June 5, 2019, Eid-ul-Fitr (1 Shawwal 1440 AH). May Allah accept your Ibadaat. Ameen I

Whether your #Ramadan started today or will start tomorrow, I wish every one of you the most blessed & spiritually elevating month. May the Almighty keep us steadfast and make us better people.

Don’t measure worldly success by a rich lifestyle & all the modern day trappings. Measure it by the number of hearts you’ve touched, the faces who smile when they hear your name, the things people say about you in your absence! That’s a life well lived! Strive to get there!

Do your deeds quietly. Don’t brag about it on social media. It’s counter productive that way. You may get some reaction from people but that’s not what you should be concerned with. Your reward is with the Almighty. And that should be more than enough reason to stay low key!

The ones who are good to those who’ve hurt them, the ones who can still trust though they’ve been betrayed, the ones who show kindness to those who don’t deserve it - these will never go unnoticed by the Almighty. Such people will have a special reward! Aspire towards that!

Your heart is the most important organ in your body. Guard it with your life. Don’t give it to just anyone. Protect it from hatred, jealousy etc. Nurture it. Imbibe it with what’s good. Your heart will get what it prays for. Don’t think the Almighty is not aware of your heart!

Asalamualakum, First day of Eid Al Adha will be on Tuesday, August 21. Eid prayer will be at 8.30AM We are excited to have the sisters and brothers from Masjid Jihad join us for prayer & breakfast so we encourage everyone to come early. Asalamualakum new and returning parents! The ICS Weekend Academy is ready to start the new academic year this fall! The ICS Weekend Academy is a year long school for Muslim kids between the ages of 5-16. Students learn Quran, Arabic and Islamic Studies every Sunday from 10:00AM-2:00PM. Join ICS Weekend Academy next Saturday, August 11th at 2pm for registration and orientation. This year I am adding 2 new groups, one of which, the YES program, provides full scholarships to students from Muslim countries. Dinner will be followed by a (hopeful) healthy open discussion about how to be a family under the guidance of our Deen. Please make an effort to come, as we can learn from each others experiences.
